I have no interest in going there, as there is nothing there that would remotely interest me.
One thought that fleets through my old grey head is that the existence of this might endanger irregular internet, in that the.gov could use it as an excuse to shut us off from all but .gov permitted sites!

I don't think they'll need to cut us off from all but govt approved sites anytime soon Jacque. We as a culture seem to be doing that pretty well already all by ourselves by congregating at a relatively few sites that they already control (Facebook, Reddit, etc.) but if the time arrives, and I think it will, that they feel the need to shut down the sites like Free Republic where freedom loving people meet it's nice to know that there will be a way for us to communicate that is beyond their control.
The day is going to come when it will be a crime to get on the net without a govt approved password or maybe a chip embedded in your hand or forehead. You'll probably need that chip to work or purchase anything too (I read that in a book somewhere years ago.)
