Good point. Reminds me of listening to Michael Medved who always questions Trump’s statements. “I know better than he does,” is Medved’s hidden message.
Evangelicals should read the Bible seriously and join the His church (Mt 16:18). Libertarians need to read John Stuart Mill and defend traditional marriage.
And for clueless, insular Aussies, the truth is ever so elusive.
