A 27-year-old Democratic National Committee staffer has died after being shot multiple times in Washington, D.C. Seth Rich, director of voter expansion for the DNC, was gunned down in a street at around 4.20am on Sunday. He was found conscious and breathing by police who had been patrolling the area and heard gunshots. Rich was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

I drive for Uber in DC in the overnight hours. I have dropped off many people in the early A.M. at their home in residential neighborhoods like this one.
At 4 A.M. I also have passengers going to work, or to Reagan National Airport.

Wonder why this made the news. People get shoot in DC all the time. Would they have printed such an article for an RNC staffer? No.

There was a young Dem political operative who got hacked to pieces with a knife on a Metro train a year ago 4th of July. Don’t remember any articles saying it was the knife’s fault.

Being shot multiple times suggests to me something other than robbery. Maybe I’m wrong but I suspect a thief would run after hitting the guy with one shot. Struggle for the gun? The guy doesn’t look or sound as if he had it in him.

Not in DC, at any rate. Lots of good farm people and early commuters are having breakfast about then, though.
Probably returning from a late night of partying and his SJW mindset made him not act or trust on his situational awareness. That area is dumpy and has quite a few criminals in it. Its liveable, but you can’t act stupid as if your in some rural town or suburb that has law abiding citizens.

Mom always said that nothing good ever happens after midnight. Agree with prev. poster that he was likely looking for dope - but that's my opinion only.

And of course, Dems run to blame guns, instead of the dirtbag that pulled the trigger - 'Gun violence is a serious problem in our nation and needs an answer to stop this senseless loss of life."
That’s ok, I’m sure his killer didn’t have the intent of killing him, so it’s all good.
