Maybe that comes from the bad old days of the civil rights movement when the police weren’t always fair to black Americans. Maybe it comes from the sky high crime rate in black America which insures

Maybe that comes from attitude and behavior. When you act like a thug, talk back to cops, fight with the police, and make sudden movements, that makes police nervous. Blacks are far more likely to emulate the urban thug rap video behavior, so they are more likely to escalate situations with police. If they're unlucky enough to do it with a cop who is particularly uneasy, they end up dead. We don't know what actually happened in the Castile shooting, unless the cop had a body camera, but it could easily have been completely justified (or an overreaction to stupid behavior).

I’ve always wondered why I don’t see Asians protesting, rioting, killing people and burning down cities like Newark back in the 60s, Watts, the LA riots, etc. What am I missing here?

It's because Asians, by and large, possess a work ethic, self control, and the ability to delay gratification.

If a particular community's Asian population increases, it usually means that the community will become a better place to live. But if a particular community's black population increases, it usually means that it will become a worse place to live.

Before anyone feels inclined to call me a racist, I would welcome any counter-examples to what I've stated, either for Asians or for blacks.
