Right now the narrative seems to be, the main problem with violence has to do with returning military veterans (usually white - don’t even bring up the fact that the latest terrorist was a black racist), and the second part of the narrative is the availability of “weapons of war” such as the AR-15. The left has its narrative and mere facts won’t ever change it.
