Woman Facebook live-streams her dying boyfriend seconds after he is shot four times by a cop as his mother says police kept her from her son's deathbed and claims the girlfriend is now missing ===============================================
The devastated mother of a black man who was shot dead by a cop and whose death was live-streamed on Facebook by his girlfriend says she was prevented from seeing him on his deathbed.
Valerie Castile, mother of Philando Castile, 32, who was shot in Falcon Heights, Saint Paul, Minnesota on Wednesday night, also claimed they have been unable to locate Diamond Reynolds, his girlfriend, since she was arrested by police.
The shocking footage of the aftermath of the shooting has sparked protests in Saint Paul, with hundreds of people descending on the Governor of Minnesota's house demanding justice. It is the second controversial police shooting of a black man to emerge in 24 hours.
In the video, Reynolds tells viewers that she and Castile were pulled over for a busted tail light by a 'Chinese police officer'.
She claims the cop, from the St. Anthony Police Department in Falcon Heights, asked Castile, a cafeteria supervisor at a Montessori school in St Paul, to show his license, but then shot him four times while he reached for it.
As she talks, she moves the camera across to show Castile, bloody and losing consciousness, and the cop - still pointing his gun, as her young daughter sits in the back seat.
The police officer, who is yet to be identified, been placed on paid leave.

Of course, everything could have happened just like she said.
Folks, we’ve seen good shoots and bad shoots here on FR over the years yet the participants in the initial threads always seem to follow the same script no matter which side they’re on.
I’d just like to see us wait patiently for once before we make a snap judgement to either march on city hall with fiery torches intent on burning it to the ground or to champion the policeman under scrutiny as a community hero.
What do they do to show us they’re not a threat?
There is a woeful failure of training.
Contradictory orders: Three cops shouting: Don’t move! Hands Up! On the ground! That’s gotten people killed.
Cops forgetting what they just told the detainee: Show me your license. Detainee complies. Bang! Definitely happened to that poor man in SC, maybe this man in MN.
And one cop hollering Gun! seems to mean Shoot the bastard now! Not he’s got a gun in his pocket, or there’s a gun on the floor of the back seat.
I will hold my judgment until another video shows the actual takedown..
the cop did sound very panicky...very emotional....
somehow, its gotten into the mindset of cops, put there by their leaders of course, that the cops life is paramount to everything else, instead of just being a citizen like the rest of us...
which is why swat teams waited outside at Columbine and why swat teams waited outside the gay club.....

Too many people are just presuming he was a lawful citizen and a legitimate CCW holder based upon his girlfriend’s claims made on viral video.
Good points......its always easy to presume without all the facts.
Furthermore, until every knock-out game player who caused a death is tried, convicted and executed, I don't care if the cops shoot and kill 20, or 30, or 300, a day of these thugs.
Act like a human, and you'll be treated like one.

I'm guessing when the recording begins, the officer has already called for backup after the shooting and the others are en route. The wait time was edited out of the Daily Mail video.
I too had the same question. I saw another clip and it clearly showed this man was the driver. Saw the steering wheel in front of him. What is going on with this nation?

By “thugs,” do you mean you don’t care if the police shoot 300 CCW holders a day, or you don’t care if the police shoot 300 people a day that have a broken taillight?
I never saw the original video. Since this is from UK, could be that they reversed the video (it is possible to do so), so that their readers in the UK wouldn’t be confused as to who was driving? Either that or the car was a left handed model here in the States.
Being in a military town, we have a few left handed cars here around town that GI’s bring back from overseas......................

So that you can use your smartphone as a mirror. Obviously it's not smart enough to know whether you're filming a crime scene or adjusting your hair.
She was using the “front-facing” camera on her cell phone...the image appears reversed when you use that camera (as opposed to the rear-facing main camera).
China is murder happy. China is buying up your neighborhood homes.
Is the cop a recent immigrant? This could be cultural.
All you people jumping all over this cop. You have no idea what the cop told this guy to do. That part isn’t filmed, is it? So you are going on the word of his girlfriend as to what the cop said. And he, actually on the film, actually contradicted what she said already, he told the guy to keep his hands up, and SHE contradicted the cop and said he told the guy to take his ID out.
So it is he said, and then she said. Who do you believe? I believe the cop because he said what he really said right on the video tape, not what SHE said the cop said when NOT on tape. She was setting this cop up.

I guess the cell phone manufacturers figured that using the front-facing “selfie” camera is like looking into a mirror and they reverse the image like a mirror? Something like that.

Sorry, but just because I have a CCW doesn’t mean I have to prostrate myself and debase myself in front of the uniformed super-citizens (who are more equal than other citizens).
It is absolutely un-American to propose that a law abiding citizen who is lawfully exercising their rights has to put up with that kind of crap!
If some police officers can’t stand the idea of lawfully armed citizens then they need to get out of policing because THEY are the criminals! THEY are why we have the Second Amendment in the first place!
