The neighborhoods I'm talking about in Brooklyn and Queens were not predominantly black to begin with. So they had less resistance to gentrification. I think that is key to improving our inner cities however. Who really wants to live in a ghetto? Certainly nobody is going to go there for some jazz music and coffee.
It seems that Democrats and black leaders want to keep their people down and out - where they must crawl to them for handouts. Those that escape with honest jobs are often tagged as "uncle Toms". So many of them see their only options of escape as an athlete or rapper. Not a good situation.
I’m with you. Beyond caring. Thankful this is concentrated in Chi-town. Granted, other “big cities,” controlled almost exclusively by Democrats, have this trouble. But nothing like Chicago. Let ‘em rot.
Maybe they should get off the porch and out of the street and hang out back.
What haven’t they tried? They could cordon off the gang areas and confiscate all the guns. But, then who would be able to force all the Bolshie voters to the polls while the gangs take most of their welfare. That would shut down another Bolshecrat money laundering scheme.
