I for one still have confidence in the FBI. There are hundreds of patriotic, law abiding folks in the organization that will not go along with perverting the agency's integrity. I have high hopes that in the end they will do the right thing.
Keep in mind, precedence will be set. If Hillary is allowed to get by with accepting foreign money for State access, Obstruction of investigations, destruction of evidence, mishandling sensitive info, allowing our secrets to be hacked, money laundering, perjury, conspiracy....cases from this point on into the future will also be tainted by using the defense that others did these things and were not held accountable. It blows a hole in every future investigation.

I think I saw the Trump plane fly over my house in CT about 15 minutes ago. Had all the markings but I could not grab my binoculars fast enough to confirm.

Indeed. And your first conjecture is the most likely, namely too soon for events to have progressed far enough that a leak like that would be true.
However, there’s a third possibility: it’s simply a clever ploy to force the Obama administration to respond to his statement, and there’s no possible response that they might make to Trump’s claim that won’t make them look worse than the do now, since there’s basically only three possible responses:
1. No comment.
2. Not true.
3. True.

His source is CNN. Anyway, maybe they are wrong but I strongly doubt it. The investigation was superficial and looked only at the classification issue of the emails that were available. There was no investigation of the deleted emails or public corruption after all. *Sigh*.

If it IS true, Trumped trumped them and they will have to explain how he did it, who leaked and why they wont indict.

Or, it’s a preemptive move to state that any lack of an indictment is a ‘fix’. It puts more pressure on those making the decision.
OR ... He knows an indictment is possible and he's putting pressure on them to do it.
