I quit right after TWA-800’s shootdown in 1996, but there’s been a dozen more reasons since, not to fly commercial or private.

flight free since Sept 2002...I haven't been on a plane since 911, didn't much care for flying even before that. It might be age or it might be the world we live in, but I don't feel like I've deprived myself of anything.

Ha got you beat by 3+ years. Jan 1999 was my last flight.
Also by choice. In 2003 I drove across America rather than fly.
