I think the next few weeks are going to be very interesting. Being involved in the “investigative field”, the primary target of the investigation is usually interviewed last. So I tend to think the FBI is close to making a recommendation.
Most folks here are cynical and rightly so. But I think there is just too much information that is already known, that she completely skates. Too many investigators involved, too much time. Also telling are the sources that indicate they want to make a recommendation before the conventions. That seems kind of telling. Why would that be important if they were not going to recommend charges. A great October surprise for Hillary would be if the DOJ announced she was all free and clear. I think they are being sensitive to the election, and if they are going to recommend charges, they want to get it in before the conventions. So the Dems can change horses if they want.
Comey has state repeatedly that the investigation will be complete when it is complete, regardless of where that falls in the political cycle.
No doubt he is being heavily pressured by Rat partisans to wrap this up before the convention so that options are kept open.
