Why do you guys think that conservatives often feel the need to say something self deprecating before they make a good conservative point or positively support their candidate?

For example, “I know Trump says outlandish and provocative things, but he’s better than Hillary.”

“”I don’t agree with everything Bush did, but he certainly seems to love America more than this guy.”

“That whole spate of Republica nominees were a bunch of flawed misfits, but everyone is better qualified than the 2 socialists the rats put up there.”

Why do we always do this to ourselves? Is it just to show that we are looking at both sides before making a positive declaration?

I find it frustrating.

Any thoughts?

Maybe they should stick to more important questions like boxers or briefs?
