I'll stuff nothing. HOAs are one of the most drippingly corrupt creations Satan has ever come up with. If you're fighting the good fight, then good for you. But don't tell me you're not deep in darkness doing it.

And while you might be suing a management company, you HIRED them in the first place. And you also personally have franking privileges and funds and mechanisms for communicating with every resident - abilities that the residents don't have. So if you're not poundng on everyone to change things for the better in concrete ways, then it's because you don't want to. So stuff it yourself.

And P.S. - Dividends come from investments. Which means you're collecting more money than you need. I wasn't kidding about the SEC - and the capital you're investing comes on pain of punishment for non-compliance, and where's the alignment with SEC rules for investment companies? Lemme guess - your HOA wrote its own rules for investing, and even whether they have to listen to any advice from the people they demand money from. That's extortion. Stuff THAT.

If the President and his entire administration break rules, laws and ignore the Constitution constantly why can't "We The People" follow his example?. Are we to be held to a higher standard those those who rule over us?

Ask the town council if they support New York state primary delegates being bound to Donald Trump.

So true. Having no law is better than having a bad law.
Some of the “rules” are just ridiculous.
I live in an HOA that will have 1,070 home sites at “build out.” Having a rule that requires 80% to be present at a meeting to change rules is absurd. Thirty per cent never come out of their homes! (Witness Protection Plan)

So Jennifer decided to ask the town for a permit so she could post a “God Bless America” banner on the front of her restaurant. She wanted to display the banner from Memorial Day through Independence Day.

There was just one significant problem.

That she had to ask to do this is THE problem.

The very fact that they need to have a permit to a “God Bless America” banner is a great demonstration of government overreach.

What is the difference between the tyranical micro-management style of the E.U. and the tyrants in our own governments - local state and federal?

Have been following this story from TX and read that the owner put up the sign following the Orlando terrorist attack. From what I read the owner seems bold in her faith and patriotism.

I’ll be within 30 minutes of that restaurant next week, and hope to have lunch there and shake the owner’s hand.

Agreed, an acceptable tyranny of the majority has long been replaced with a tyranny of the politically empowered. I’d suggest that the level of boldness about it is what has increased in recent years.

We could ask Bill Clinton or Loretta Lynch for their opinion on the subject. If only they could meet for half hour or so to talk about it...

Jennifer tells me she never imagined there would be a day like this in America.

Actually, given the town's restriction, she should have imagined that. However, I have a solution. I'm sure the town would be fine with her replacing "God Bless America" with the Shahada for an indefinite period of time.

Patriots, note that the Founding States had originally decided that the states did not have to respect the rights protected by the Bill of Rights. The states required only the feds to respect those rights. So hypothetically speaking, this cafe owner would originally have had no constitutional protections from state abridgment of her constitutionally enumerated rights.

But then the states ratified the 14th Amendment. And by doing so they likewise prohibited themselves from abridging constitutionally enumerated rights.

14th Amendment, Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

So why didn’t the “patriotic” cafe owner pull the 14th Amendment card on the town of Penfield concerning her banner? I question the patriotism of low-information patriots who do evidently do not know their constitutional protections well enough to use them.

In fact, since this cafe owner evidently has religious convictions, note that Acts 22:23-30 indicates that Paul claimed his rights as a Roman citizen to save himself from being flogged.

On the other hand, I don’t see Christians likewise using their constitutional protections to fight unconstitutional attacks on their faith by corrupt federal and state governments.
