Well, that would have been a very clever way out for her but the background on this suggests otherwise. Based on the interview I saw with the Phoenix reporter who broke the story it looks like she just got caught. One person called the reporter to inform him about the meeting and then he had to confirm it with others at the airport. Lynch never discussed the meeting until she was forced to address it. So it appears that she got caught and screwed up big time.
