Lynch to Remove Herself From Decision Over Clinton Emails, Official Says
New York Times ^ | 1 July 2016 | MATT APUZZO

Posted on 07/01/2016 3:10:45 AM PDT by cardinal4

Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch plans to announce on Friday that she will accept whatever recommendation career prosecutors and the F.B.I. director make about whether to bring charges related to Hillary Clinton’s personal email server, a Justice Department official said. Her decision removes the possibility that a political appointee will overrule investigators in the case.

Martha Stewart was tried and convicted of lying to a federal investigator. She was sent to jail to make an example.

...but it didn't work, did it.

You mean in Hillary's case or for the general public?

Martha Stewart is a very interesting case. They couldn't get her for insider trading, which she was probably guilty of, not enough evidence. But they did convict her of a process crime, lying to an FBI agent, thereby obstructing justice.

Did it work? On some levels it was a twofer. Everybody thinks they sent Martha Stewart to jail for insider trading, so you have that example. Those who know might also think twice about lying to an FBI agent and creating a crime when all they have to do is keep their mouths shut.

Did it scare Hillary and her minions into doing the right thing? Surely you jest.

There’s no exoneration coming since the NSA disclosed Hillary had classified on her private server. That’s an open and shut case. The thing about it was OK as long as no one else saw it is BS. Hillary’s probably looking at thousands of felony counts.

Obama will have to pardon her. To do that she’ll have to bow out of the race. Her chances are nil either way.

The fact the NYT broke the story about Lynch is a sign to the media poodles, the game is over. Hillary is toast.

If that is the case, that means Lynxh did a rope a dope on the Clintons, which would be shocking.

:: staged the meeting with Bill so she would have an excuse to remove herself from a no win decision ::

Or, as she stated to Obama in private, “I ain’t gonna be tossed under yo’ bus, niggah.”

[Which she can say because both Lynch and Obama are “black” and her last name is a trigger word].

"Lynch should realize that if it did happen this meeting would dog her to her dying day."

She doesn't care... She already has her government retirement in her pocket.. She can always move to France and be with the rest of the mooslams.

I really believe the Progressives (liberals) have very little in the way of conscious ... They have no GOD, therefor they have no moral rules or guidepost that they live by... Whatever they can get away with, becomes immediately acceptable to them...

I also believe that this has become such a huge problem for major industries that they're forced to give ethics training to their employees...

Trying to replace morality with ethics.... Trying to replace GOD'S laws with mans rules for proper behavior... What could possible go wrong.........

MHO....

One reporter.

The one reporter got a tip via phone call. It looks more like he shepherded the leak to the public than did the digging himself.

This has V. Jarret written all over it.

You are right. Did you notice that Lynch said the email issue didn’t come up, but specifically DID NOT say the CF didn’t come up. Throw in “primarily social” and your theory gains credibility.

So if we see PIAPS in a red pantsuit, we’ll know what’s coming from the FBI?

Can someone try to explain to me again why Martha Stewart went to jail?

Yes. Various congresscritters were being investigated for insider trading. To divert attention, they had the DOJ go after Stewart. In the meantime, they voted in a bill that makes it legal for THEM to do insider trading.

I got a feeling his visit was about the Clinton Foundation not the emails.

The Clinton Foundation is a steeping stew of corruption, and it should not be hard to prove it.

And not only that, he owned the server that contained classified material. How is he not a co-defendant?

You may be right. I think Lynch has removed herself because it seems like she’s being ethical. It’s all BS and everyone knows it.

Don’t forget....Bubba has known Lynch for years. The idea that they would discuss kiddies and golf is ridiculous. I read that their meeting was a half hour long.

Right. Although it appears orange is totally within PIAPS’ color wheel.

that Lynch will announce today that she will abide by whatever the FBI recommends

Words matter with the Clintons. Did she say she would abide by the recommendations or that she would accept the recommendations? She could accept the recommendations but not act on them.

Based on the story as it just was reported, it seems Lynch really is going to go along with whatever the FBI recommends. What may have happened is that Obama, who detests the Clintons, knew nothing about the meeting between Clinton and Lynch — or was at least ticked off when the meeting became public news — and he wants to distance his administration from the Clintons’ chicanery.

You are assuming equal treatment under the law. That has not been the case for the Clintons who have not been held accountable for their actions. I provided two scenarios, one being Hillary being held accountable for her crimes or that she will be given a pass using her subordinates as scapegoats.

It is an open and shut case for anyone else and that judgment would have been rendered a long time ago. We must rely on the integrity of Comey and the career bureaucrats at the FBI. Given what happened in the cases of the IRS, Fast and Furious, the slow-walking of the release of documents from the State Department along with a cover-up of the existence of Hillary's private server, etc. my confidence in the career bureaucracy is in serious decline. I say that as someone who worked for 36 years in the federal government. The Holder/Lynch DOJ is the most partisan and corrupt government agency in history.

The fact the NYT broke the story about Lynch is a sign to the media poodles, the game is over. Hillary is toast.

Or we are being manipulated by the storytelling Obama administration (Ben Rhodes), which is foisting a charade on us. Lynch gives the illusion that the cover-up and exoneration of Hillary is a decision made by the bureaucracy. There are no fingerprints leading back to Obama. There is no doubt in my mind that Lynch knows what decision has been made by the FBI. DOJ officials have been working closely with the FBI on the interviews and gathering of evidence.

The game isn't over until the fat lady sings. Hillary is not toast yet. We will see what happens. The integrity of our judicial system is facing the acid test. I am not sure that the FBI can meet that test. After all, they have been implementing the Obama use of political correctness by failing to utter radical Islamic terrorism. The FBI has expunged Islam from its training materials. They have failed to go after Lois Lerner.

Semper, since the Clinton Foundation did business on the server, Bill is linked to the emails scandal. I just think this meeting was an attempt to delay any revealing information before Hillary had a chance to take office and make it all go away.
