The three men who carried out Tuesday's deadly attack on an Istanbul airport were all from parts of the former USSR, Turkish sources say. One is said to be from Russia's North Caucasus region and the others from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Turkey believes so-called Islamic State (IS) was behind the suicide gun and bomb attack that left 43 people dead and 230 injured at Ataturk airport. Police detained at least 13 suspects in Istanbul and more in Izmir on Thursday.

The US intelligence agencies will be puzzling over just what these terrorists may have had in common. What in the world could have motivated them? It is a deep mystery. Not to us surely. But to the morons running our government.

Thank God, our intel people after Pearl Harbor had zero problems blaming that attack on the Japanese and the Axis that Japan was a part of.

Sounds to me like someone taking advantage of the drill situation to cause confusion, which it has. Initially the thought would be “drill” & by the time it is realized it’s not a drill, potentially more damage could be done.
“Russian” in the same sense that the Tsarnaev brothers were “Russian”.
Puzzled? Turkey has been funding ISIS through illegal oil purchases. They harbour terrorists on thier side of the border. Remember they shot down a Russian aircraft and tortured the pilot. I said then look for a “terrorist” attack to happen in Turkey.
Funny how the three attackers were from form Soviet client states.
