You know this nation is doomed when the instructions given to military personnel on a military base in an event like this are the exact same instructions that are given to a day care facility or kindergarten class.
The ‘active shooter’ is at the Malcolm Grow Medical Facility (hospital) on Andrews. There is also confusion as to whether or not this is a real active shooter or part of a pre-planned ‘active shooter’ exercise scheduled for this morning. The base has announced that they are treating it as a REAL active shooter and security forces are at the hospital.
The base is on lockdown right now — 10:01 EDT

There were reports of an active shooter incident on base at Malcolm Grow medical facility at approximately 9 a.m. today, June 30, 2016.
Personnel on base have been directed to shelter in place.
The base was scheduled to conduct an active shooter exercise, however, reports of a real-world active shooter situation were reported at Malcolm Grow medical facility.
First responders are currently on scene to secure the location.
Due to the serious nature of this report, the base is reacting to ensure the safety of all personnel.
More information will be released as it becomes available.

It sounds to me like somebody didn’t get the memo that this was only supposed to be a drill. Usually, somebody would know if there is “an active shooter” and where he/she/it/wiz/zim/zer/zot was “active” at. You’d be able to hear the gunfire.
This reminds me of the nuclear launch drills for both the missile folks and SAC folks during the cold war.

Maybe it’s an “active shooter” drill for the MSM so they can get this right. That fiasco in Orlando was screwed up badly, with the guy talking about “some random guy” holding a door shut, etc.
Also, maybe people will be so jaded by convention time that no one will bat an eye anymore, which would serve purposes of what they may be trying to achieve.

Joint Base Andrews is home to the USAF 89th Airlift Wing, which has all the president’s flying taxis, fixed wing and Obama’Copters.
Golf-One scoots out to Andrews on days such as this.... but lockdown, oh my. Today is not not that day!
Huge base and with the Airlift Command one would think base security would be, well, a little more secure.
