My first thought when I read it may actually be a drill. “Treating as if...”. What news do they want to bury? Trump leading in the polls and The Phoenix Fix.
“This is Bill Smith, roving reporter for WHGT, reporting live from the latest mass shooting here at Andrews AFB. Here comes someone running from the base now... Sir! Sir! Please tell us what is happening on the base.”
(Running Man): “A man pulled a pistol and just started shooting at people.”
“Sir, was he using an AR-15 military assault weapon?”
(RM): “No, no, it was a pistol.”
“But Sir, how can you be sure? Have you had weapons training? Can you be sure it wasn’t an AR-15?”

“There you have it folks. An active shooter using a weapon remarkably similar to the popular AR-15 assault weapon preferred by homegrown terrorists and NRA members, using high capacity clips to murder innocent civilians.”

Golf-One scoots out to Andrews on days such as this.... but lockdown, oh my. Today is not not that day!

It was a phrase that used to be limited to hurricanes and tornadoes but somehow made its way into civil defense. Hey, there’s a good word. Haven’t heard much about civil defense in a few decades. Need it now.

An hour ago General McInerney said on Fox News from what he could tell that if the base did get reports of a suspected shooter it had been taken care of. He said he could tell by people casually walking and not running. The urgency of the situation was not there. He said there was a 90% chance it was not an active shooter situation. Military experts Martha McCallum and General Bret Biar thanked him and then blew off anything he said to them, saying it was an active shooter situation. Bair basically called him a liar.

I wonder if Loretta told Bill who had to be killed or if she had to hand him a list with names on it? While it might be a long list, Bill doesn’t look like he is capable of remembering too many names.
