..targeted by group of motorcyclists, Islamic group says
The Fort Pierce-area mosque once attended by Orlando shooter Omar Mateen is receiving threats and members are being intimidated, according to an Islamic group representing the mosque.
Since Mateen killed 49 people in an Orlando nightclub June 12, the mosque has received threatening voice messages and was visited by a motorcycle group Sunday that circled the building yelling at congregants, according to the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
"They called it a 'patriotic rally,'" said Wilfredo Ruiz, communications director for the council's Florida chapter.
The messages left at the Fort Pierce Islamic Center had profanity, included racial slurs and alluded to physical harm, Ruiz said. He said people in the Muslim community specifically those in the Fort Pierce area are fearful that they might be attacked.
He said the mosque offered to pay law enforcement agencies for extra security, but they've been rebuffed.
"People in the community are afraid," he said. "They are fearful for their safety and community. The imam told me, when I asked what is your main concern, he told me safety and security of his family and he was in tears when he told me that."
A spokesman for the Saint Lucie County Sheriff's Office said the agency has received no calls for service to the mosque since the shooting. In a statement to the Associated Press, Sheriff Ken Mascara said that deputies are patrolling the mosque more frequently but that the agency does not have enough staff to place guards there long term.
"Placing patrol units at specific locations by special request, even if reimbursed by the requesting party, is evaluated based on staffing levels and can at times limit our ability to maintain our mission and appropriately respond to the entire community," Mascara

Now I’m confused. Is this typical crap reporting or is someone being dishonest?
Screw ‘em and their fears, I just don’t give a damn.
bikers.....or a bike riding by?
be clear..... and what video?
Vigilante squads will be very popular in the near future is my prediction. America is getting pretty darn fed up with muslims who say and pray over and over how peaceful they are but at the drop of a pin blow up. Or a phone call.
Moslems are such girly drama queens...
This problem is very easily solved: Declare Islam a terrorist organization, outlaw the practice of Islam in the USA and destroy every mosque in America!
Then CAIR could not complain about “intimidation.”
In very short order, there would be no more Moslems in America! And, no more CAIR!
After all, the US Constitution is not a suicide pact!

GOOD! You should be scared. Dump that rotten evil religion. Save your souls, or GTFO.
Maybe it’s time to bring back vigilantism.
Full Definition of vigilante. : a member of a volunteer committee organized to suppress and punish crime summarily (as when the processes of law are viewed as inadequate); broadly : a self-appointed doer of justice.
Driving around a mosque is a crime? Yelling too?
I think the CAIR guy is full of crap and putting words in the local mosque leader’s mouth. I think that is what CAIR does. They are the Sharpton of the Muslims. Our local sheriff would not dismiss a genuine threat. If the mosque leader had expressed concern the department would have at least increased the number of times they patrolled that area. The department is just a few miles down the road.
It was posted on FB and it was bikers (not like Hell’s Angels bikers) I don’t feel I am at liberty to give out the name of the person that posted it. I also am not sure if anyone was actually at the mosque since this was on Sunday. It may be on Youtube at this point.
No pictures of the “motorcycle gang” who rode there on Sunday? Seems odd. Even if it’s true, I wonder how the gay community will react to news that a bunch of probably white men on motorcycles were indirectly defending the gay population.
