DOH! Anybody smell a law suit for unlawful termination? I wouldn't put it past the genteel snowflakes.

reality is that colleges -- the educational institutions that are theoretically supposed to prepare these kids for the real world -- did these students a disservice by treating every petition or pet cause as valid, allowing the inmates to run the asylum Progressive education rejects abstractions and focuses on concretes and actions over thought. Pluralistic education takes diversity into account and treats all subjects equally. Together they fail to transmit acquired knowledge, and instead they focus on developing the student's self expression of his own desires, interests, and impulses.

I sometimes got razzed for eating at my desk at my last job. I have hyper-sensitive hearing, and couldn’t stand to be in the break room when the icemaker turned on or the compressors cycled on the fridges. But I don’t think anyone ever sent out a petition because of it!
I did know one who got laughed out of the boss’s office for complaining about me, though. I was the QA then, and he claimed his bad scores shouldn’t count against him because I never spoke to him verbally. I had sent him emails and instant messages by the dozens, his immediate supervisor had spoken to him about it several times, and so had the other QA on the floor. But because I hadn’t talked to him about it, he thought he should get a pass.
My boss laughed him out of the office for that. Why? Because I was MUTE!!!!
It’s amazing what people will do to try and justify not following the rules.

Yeah, wake up call for modern grads, but more of treating interns like slaves isn’t good either.

Next step, storm the CEO's office and stage a sit-in. Better work up a good chant first, though. Hmmmm... how about "The interns, united, will never be terminated!" Nah, too many syllables at the end. But they can work it out, maybe Melissa Click is available to advise them since she's between jobs.

How about: "Hey, hey, ho, ho, this companies dress code has to go!"
LOL, sounds like they need this instead:

Wow. Just think how they’re going to react when America falls to Sharia law? And they thought just by giving savages a big, sloppy kiss, everybody would love them.

not at all. Interns have no contract or even assurances of employment. Obviously, they weren’t a fit for that particular ‘corporate culture.’
