I’m told they will decrease the sales tax by 1 cent. Christie claims you will save more in the long run. But do the math. Plus they will raise the sales tax again as they did after Whitman lowered it. Some republican conservative.

I did not need another reminder of just how old I am. In high school I paid a total of $.23 for a gallon of gas.

When I lived in Michigan we called that the Engler Shuffle.
Raise the state sales tax 50% and cut property taxes. In a few years property taxes creep up right back to where they were, AND you are paying 50% tax on everything you buy.

Because people in the People’s Socialist Hellhole Republic of New Jersey aren’t taxed enough yet.

[Oh, YAY, what a great “Conservative” idea!]

I noticed that several NJ cities were on the most dangerous list.

Enjoy, citizens.

There goes all the business of NYers buying gas in NJ. There are gas stations right off the George Washington bridge on the NJ side and they are busy 24/365 with the NYers fueling up.

*Spread the Word*

Anyone living in NJ should call Christie’s office and urge him to VETO this tax! 609-292-6000

Also, send a Twitter message to Trump, copying Christie, saying he should re-consider any admin post for Christie if he does not veto this.

Gas there is cheaper than here in FL, so they’ll be right up there with us. We have no state income taxes here, so we have gas taxes to pay for roads and infrastructure................

Absolute moron. Our stupid former Republican governor Corbett did the same idiotic thing in PA! And I am supposed to somehow explain to my independent and Democrat family and friends why in he77 they should vote for Republicans? People in our region will never forget this. One of the few reasons to go into Jersey!

In high school I paid a total of $.23 for a gallon of gas.Sounds like class of '75.

My '67 Chevy Caprice station wagon had a 27 gall tank. Filled it up w less than 8 bucks. That was right before the 1973 oil embargo. sigh. I could carry 12 people in that battle wagon.

I don't tweet or I would.

I read that the Governor reached a deal with the gibmedats in Trenton.
Gotta love those that pass things at 1:00 in the morning- like thieves in the night that they are.

And I've also read that Christie is signing this on Friday.
I really hope that's a lie.

How convenient that it's the Friday just before a long holiday weekend.

They want to put 2 cents per ounce on sugary drinks. That’s $2.56 per gallon.

The Gas Tax. One of my pet peeves. Where does that money go? Certainly not to fixing the dam roads.

Here’s a question. How come we can’t pump our own gas in NJ? Noticed that when travelling from Philly to NYC.

The squeeze is on. Nobody will admit to this, but sure as shootin’ the reason is that they can’t find the money to support all the ‘refugees’ dumped in the Garden State over the past 2-3 years. Add to that the usual illegals, and it’s close to critical mass.

Guess that hug on the beach didn’t help after all, eh Governor?

Can anyone say Cloward-Piven?
