A damning report authored by the Republican-led House committee probing the Benghazi terror attacks faulted the Obama administration for a range of missteps before, during and after the fatal 2012 attacks – saying top administration officials huddled to craft their public response while military assets waited hours to deploy to Libya.
The report released Tuesday pointedly blamed a “rusty bureaucratic process” for the slow-moving response the night of the attack. The report said despite orders from President Obama and then-Defense Secretary Leon Panetta to deploy, the first military force did not do so until more than 13 hours after the attack started.
The report said one anti-terrorism security team known as the FAST unit sat waiting for three hours in Rota, Spain, as Marines changed “in and out of their uniforms four times,” and even debated whether they should carry personal weapons, according to one witness. All together, the report said, “it would take nearly 18 hours” for that team to move.
The report described a web of internal debates and hold-ups, including apparent State Department guidance that “Libya must agree to any deployment,” though Panetta would later say Libya approval was not necessary.
While various officials debated how to proceed, U.S. personnel were under attack at two sites in Benghazi.
In the end, U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans -- foreign service officer Sean Smith and former Navy Seals Ty Woods and Glen Doherty -- were killed in the attacks.

Yeah, nothing new to add to the already overwhelming evidence of wrongdoing, mishandling, allowing Americans to die...
And once again the truth doesn’t matter, and there isn’t one thing we can do about it!

Two questions on Benghazi
The term “stand down order” has been used and abused to describe multiple orders/non-orders. My question about a “stand down order” concerns the very first one.
When the mission, consulate, whatever you want to call the place where the ambassador was first came under attack, certain people at the “CIA annex”, who were ready to run to the sound of the guns were told, by phone, not to do so. They were ordered to “stand down.” This information was reported by Catherine Herridge as coming from “people on the ground.”
Who was it that gave that order to NOT go to the aid of the ambassador? This was before Stevens was determined to be “missing”, before the 7:30 PM WH meeting and before any US military assets were ordered mustered.
My second question is WHY were there some 30-40 people at this “CIA annex”? What was their mission? WHAT were they doing there?
CNN ... They make Joseph Goebbels proud.

CAPITOL HILL - Testimony given Wednesday on Capitol Hill by Greg Hicks, Benghazi whistleblower and deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Libya, exposed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as a liar.
Hicks, who was on the ground in Libya on September 11, 2012, said Clinton called him around 2 a.m. from Washington to ask “what was going on.” Hicks responded by saying the consulate was under attack. He never told her about a protest outside the consulate because there wasn’t one.
“The only report that our mission made through every channel was that this was an attack,” Hicks said. “No protest.”
In his recollection of events the night of September 11, 2012, Hicks stated that U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens called him and said, “We are under attack,” just before he was brutally murdered and dragged through the streets. Again, no mention of a protest.
“The video was not instigative of anything that was going on in Libya,” Hicks said. “We saw no demonstrations related to the video anywhere in Libya.”
Hicks also noted that Twitter feeds were being monitored and showed Ansar al-Sharia took credit for the terrorist attack and had control of the hospital where Ambassador Stevens was taken.
Despite knowing Benghazi was a terrorist attack from the very beginning, after all she was briefed by Hicks who was on the ground, Clinton shamelessly stood in front of the flag draped caskets of dead Americans and blamed a YouTube video anyway. Watch starting at the 6 minute mark.
“We’ve seen rage and violence directed at American embassies over an awful internet video that we had nothing to do with. It is hard for the American people to make sense of that, because it is senseless and totally unacceptable.”
Shortly after, when violence in the Middle East was raging, President Obama in partnership with Hillary Clinton spent $70,000 in taxpayer money on a commercial that aired on Pakistani television apologizing for the “video.”
The American Embassy in Islamabad, in a bid to tamp down public rage over the anti-Islam film produced in the U.S., is spending $70,000 to air an ad on Pakistani television that features President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton denouncing the video.
The State Department said Thursday the embassy had compiled brief clips of Obama and Clinton rejecting the contents of the movie and extolling American tolerance for all religions into a 30-second public service announcement that is running on seven Pakistani networks. Obama and Clinton’s comments, which are from previous public events in Washington, are in English but subtitled in Urdu, the main Pakistani language.
Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said the aim was to get the messages to the widest possible audience in Pakistan, where tens of thousands of protestors angry about the film tried to reach the U.S. embassy before being turned back by Pakistani police. She said embassy staffers had decided the ads were the best way to spread the word. The seven networks have a potential audience of 90 million people, she added.
And then of course, Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice went on five Sunday talk shows to blame the video.
And so did President Barack Obama and White House Press Secretary Jay Carney.

President Barack Obama blamed the irrelevant video in front of the world at the United Nations. Not to mention, Obama described the man who made the video, who is still in jail after being dragged out of his house and arrested in the middle of the night, a “shadowy character.”
“It was a crude and disgusting video. I have made it clear the United States government had nothing to do with this video.”
Hillary Clinton lied, Rice lied, Barack Obama lied, Jay Carney lied, the Obama administration lied. The men in Libya were left to die as military forces were told to stand down.
Bring on the perjury hearings. What difference does it make? A big difference.
The Obama response to Benghazi was always going to be a tricky thing to go after.
All he has to do is go on tv and smile and say, “Shucks....I didn’t know any better” and every female in America forgives him.
That could be his appeal to females. They want to mother and protect him.
That’s a great reason to vote for him.
0bama was notified immediately and automatically when the Benghazi consulate triggered the "Imminent Danger Notification System" alert. He did nothing.

Denial of prior requests for security were a dereliction of duty. The lies and misdirection about the "video" after the attack were fraud and malfeasance under the color of authority. The inaction during the attack was something more than that.
The failure to act during the attack is the direct equivalent of desertion IMO.
ONE man had the authority to act that night.

Misled hell. She killed the four by her lack of action.. And then lied like a daemon from hell.
It’s not a damning report as far as liberals are concerned because they see the whole report as a lie and base it on the democratic report released yesterday.
The report really means nothing. Those who know the bitch lied along with the entire administration have a better understanding and those who say the report is nothing but lies don’t care anyway.
If she was convicted in a court of law based on the facts then it would mean something but the elite are protected by the elite so that will never happen until we elect people that have a set and will abide by the law.
