Going into Afghanistan after 9-11 and crushing the life out of those Talibanistas was a good thing, just like wiping out Saddam. But Americans should have just pulled the hell out afterwards and let the locals deal with the situation. We loose lives and money trying to civilize savages. When they are ready to be civilized, they will take care of it themselves. The important thing is to deliver a message : screw with us or our allies and you are dead meat and don’t expect us to rescue you after the dust clears.
