That encapsulates Romney's approach to Obama in a nutshell.
Romney just thought he could coast to the presidency because he was "ordained" by his "mormon priesthood" and singled out for greatness by mormonism's White Horse Prophecy.
The prophecy is known as the “White Horse Prophecy” or the prophecy of the “One mighty and strong.” Now, this is not public, formal LDS doctrine, but it was taught by many leaders of the Church and is still taught today. It is said by LDS leadership that when the Constitution is in dire peril, one will come who is mighty and strong. He will come riding (figuratively perhaps) on a white horse and will wield awesome political and spiritual power.

One of its more unique doctrines in this regard is their belief that the US Constitution is a divinely inspired document. Mitt assumes he IS ordained to walk into the White House as President, and his bitterness at being thwarted is in my opinion, driving him to endeavor to claim his "rightful" place as "the one mighty and strong."
I don't believe Mitt is working for any candidate...but only for HIMSELF!
