Police officers staking out San Francisco’s Russian Hill neighborhood for car burglars caught a group of armed robbers in the act of mugging three women sightseers who just visited the iconic crooked part of Lombard Street — and the whole bust was caught on security video.

It is; But the crooked part is a minuscule portion of Lombard Street, which is miles long. The video shows the street after getting to the top, heading west.
When I was a kid I tried going up the crooked part on a three speed bike. I don't remember if I made it.
I lived in the Noe Valley and explored every inch of San Francisco on that bike.
The good old days; before it became Sodom-by-the-Bay.
My paper route was miles from home and one of my "customers" was Mayor George Christopher...
These thugs really commute a long ways. Marin City and Santa Rosa are long tough commutes...
Marin City is the oldest Thug community in what was once the Richest County in the nation : Marin County. Definitely not a tourist destination, more so today than ever.
I bet the smartest president ever, daily regrets having delivered that now historic line!
