8 and oh sounds impressive, particularly against a capable adversary such as an F-15E. However, I'll hold my enthusiasm until I know what the ROE for the two sides were and what the scenarios were. Were the Eagles allowed to use all their capabilities and usual tactics? Or were they restricted to playing by the rules and (lesser) capabilities of a simulated enemy?

Not enough information to be celebrating, or hating-on the -35.

What you said. I suspect the F-15E pilots were under orders to lose the competition to the F-35 so the USAF brass would look good.
