Scott Brown: Warren should take DNA test to prove Native American heritage
By Al Weaver (@alweaver22) 6/27/16 2:13 PM
Former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown said Monday that his successor Sen. Elizabeth Warren should take a DNA test to prove her Native American heritage.
Brown, who spoke on a conference call after Warren appeared with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in Cincinnati, told reporters that the Massachusetts Democrat could easily clear up the chatter about her heritage by releasing records from Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania, where she taught.
"First of all as we all know, she's not Native American. She's not 1/32nd. She has no Native American background except for what her family told her," Brown said on the call, which was held by the Republican National Committee. "The easy answer, as you all know, is that Harvard and Penn can release the records. She can authorize the release of those records. She can take a DNA test, she can release the records herself."

Yes. If a family has been here long enough, a lot of us who may not even know it probably have a little Native DNA. But that doesn’t mean we’ve shared at all in the culture or deserve to derive any sort of ‘benefit’ from it.

Max Planck was 1/64th Jewish.
It is 199$
Actually, you have to be in the tribe registry in order to check that race box. Both your parents could be full-blooded but if you aren’t in the registry, you aren’t Native American.
SHE doesn’t have to! Someone can recover items from her personal trash and take it from there.

..and would love to see Chelsea’s DNA profile. It’ll match Webster Hubbell’s! Perhaps Webster, Bill and Hill had a threesome and Bill let Webster go at it without a condom. Disgusting thought, eh?
Not really
If you claim tribal membership...particularly if you are not historically enrolled...they make you produce DNA test results
She has ZERO. That’s reason enough to demand it
She will refuse.
White man will give her Small Pox.
Bill let Webster go at it without a condom.
= = =
And Bill got pregnant????
$199 is a real steal for Warren, she should jump at the chance to prove her innocence.
I used to think I was Italian Cherokee until I took the DNA test...
That’s just racist Scott.
Don’t you think Don Trump already has done the necessary test and knows the truth...just waiting for the timing to be right...
I agree with your point.
The fact is, most of us are going by what we were told and that’s really nothing more than a massive game of ‘telephone’.
Our family recently did our DNA tests and mine had an eyebrow lift.
I was always told that my father’s grandmother was half “Indian”. It’s common knowledge. That’s where my dad got his jet-black straight hair.
According to my DNA test, she was Indian. But not Native American. Like INDIA. Hindu, dots, cow-loving, “this is tom from customer service, how may I help you” INDIAN.
I got a great laugh out of that one.
So no. Nobody lied. There was just a miscommunication. When we heard, “Indian” everybody automatically thought, “Native American”.
Oops!
The funny thing is that my daughter didn’t inherit ANY of the Indian DNA from me. So she has an Indian fore-mother, but doesn’t have the woman’s DNA.
Genetics are just too weird. It’s time that we end the whole ‘race/bloodright’ BS and start judging people by the content of their character.
And by that measure, Lizzy is a jerk.
The AA system itself, games the system.
Time to end it too.
Absolutely. The only system that works is a meritocracy. And that’s not really a system, it’s a code of honorable conduct.
Really? A DNA test to prove heritage? How does that work?
That, and also recognized accomplishment.
Something for others to be able to determine objective worth and competence in. Not everything, but one indicator.
