Apologize. One of my best friends lives outside of San Juan, CA. I think that is Nevada County. I lived in the Bay Area for several years— a disgusting place to inhabit and I was in San Fran back in May. What the hell has happened?
I live in the NE and have visited SF every few years since 1966.
If you do that - go away and come back every few years - the relentless deterioration is AMAZING. A zillion dollar environment, beautiful homes, a world class port, all turning to sh*t.
Lack of children, and hence awareness that there is no future, plays a big role I think.
