I get a general impression that
(a) eastern europe is undergoing a depression (well over 20% unemployment)
(b) a large percentage of immigrants to the UK are actually eastern European
I wonder how many eastern European immigrants managed to register to vote in the UK Brexit referendum...
Probably close to zero. Only British, Irish, Cyprus and Malta citizens with residence in the UK had the right to vote. I doubt many Eastern European immigrants have had stayed long enough to have a chance to apply British citizenship.
Unemployment in the East is below the EU average now. It is a large problem in the South.
