Your boss needs lessons in firearm safety. One day an employee at the facility where I work came in and asked the owner about his weapon. The worker said he was a competitive marksman heading for a meet after work, and asked if it would be OK to have his weapon locked in his car in the parking lot.
The owner said: "Of course not. You're a competitive marksman. Your weapon needs to be in here, with you. You, it, and the rest of us will be a whole lot safer when you have it nearby."
I agree with you. The seven guys on my crew agree with you. They’ve told me that they wouldn’t have any issues if I carried at work. I’ve taken a couple of them shooting before.
I’ve written and talked to the bosses about their lame, “Huddle in place and wait to be murdered,” policy. Still a no-go.
People in the firearms rights community say, “You should find another job somewhere else.” Well, I can’t find a job somewhere else where I can make as much as I do.
Still, I have a plan.
