Police say a central Florida mayor was carjacked early Saturday while standing outside his home.
MESH reports Sanford Mayor Jeff Triplett was outside about 2:15 a.m. when three men approached, pointed a gun at him and stole his car keys.
Police say the suspects also stole Tripletts wallet before driving off in his Mercedes.

Perhaps he’ll buy a Chevy next...

Next, they should stop by the police station and steal the desk sergeant’s trousers.

What was he doing outside after 2 in the morning. Nothing good happens after that time. I know from experience.

Standing outside at 2:15 a.m.? It’s like my Dad told me more than 50 years ago: “Nothing good happens after midnight.”

Triplett gave a detailed description of the suspects to police and 18-year-old Jermine Jacques Horne and a 17-year-old were arrested a short time later. The third suspect has not been caught. It was not immediately known if either suspect had a lawyer.
They are from the same city, indeed.

“outside about 2:15 a.m. “
Something odd there.

Don’t you have to be in your car, and then have a thug pull you out to be carjacked?
If you’re just standing in your yard and someone takes your keys and wallet... You just got robbed.

Something odd there. I suggest that the mayor take a drug test.
