Could Britain face a second EU referendum already?
Daily Mail ^ | June 24, 2016 | Matt Dathan

Posted on 06/24/2016 4:14:29 PM PDT by Truth29

The prospect of holding a second EU referendum could be debated in Parliament in coming weeks after a petition topped the 100,000 target within hours of the result being declared.

It was so popular that the Government petition website hosting the motion crashed this morning.

The petition demands the Government re-stage the referendum because the winning vote for Leave was less than 60 per cent and was based on a turnout of less than 75 per cent.

I think that is the tradition in the EU...if the referendum doesn't go the right way, they keep having more until they get the "right" answer. Same idea as the Democrats making people in Puerto Rico vote on statehood every 5 or 10 years.

Let's hope Brussels doesn't call for 75,000 volunteers to put down the rebellion.

An issue is never settled until it is settled the way liberals want it settled, and then it is settled, in secular seculorum, Amen.

In some ways this reminds me of the Irish EU referendum vote a few years ago.

The voters said “NO” but the EU leaders shrugged it off as an “advisement” and did a re-vote...this time with the Irish parliament which passed. It’s a known fact that key Irish government leaders were bribed with lucrative EU admin jobs.

Adding to their arrogance, the Irish PM stated that Ireland now has considerable influence in EU decision making giving their populace “various perks”.

"The Dow closed at 17,400.75 so if the futures closed at 17,247.50 it is not down 667.50. There is still something wrong with the site."

Yes. Thanks! This one is showing something similar.

Others showed it up a little.

Why not? The referendum is not legally binding, much less binding than the Republican primary. If the GOPe’s can try to find a way to subvert the will of the people, why can’t the “stay” camp in the UK?

Dow future was 668 points down within the last minute or so.

Perfect time to buy!

Yes! No. It appears that there’s something wrong with some of the sites reporting the Dow future, and I should have avoided posting that on a Friday.

This might be of some interest, though.
