These creatures must be stopped. I hope Trump will have enough supporters at the convention to ensure he officially gets the nomination.

>> Virginia delegate to the Republican National Convention filed a class action lawsuit in federal court Friday challenging a state law that binds delegates to support the primary winner at the nominating convention.

I expect this from Democrats. Is there anyone left who is stupid enough to think that there is a difference between the two parties anymore?

Trump will replace any delegates who don’t honor their commitment to vote for him on the first ballot.

They’re not free agents. Unless they’re released in writing, they must vote according to the instructions of their candidate.

If they can’t vote for Trump, they have no business being delegates in the first place.

There is absolutely no “right” to be a delegate to a party convention.

He needs to resign so the Trump team can replace him with a delegate who has no problem following that which he agreed to do when he took on the role in the first place.

And the federal court’s need to stay out of this. Parties are allowed to have rules for their conventions and delegates are obligated to follow those rules; otherwise, resign.

“Beau Correll, a Republican National Convention delegate who served as one of Cruz’s campaign co-chairs in Virginia’s 10th district, is the only named plaintiff in the suit, but he’s filed it on behalf of others.”

Here you have it, another leftover POS from the “explosion” of the sewage treatment plant that was/is Ted Cruz! Cruz and his minions all need to be driven from the Republican Party, they are simply a pack of Saul Alinskys trying to install a closet Marxist!

It’s time to get rid of these freeloading, two-bit, ‘delegates’ and go back to using the actual votes cast by the voters. Let these dumbass “delegates” pay for their own party week somewhere else.

What is the legal basis for the lawsuit?

We think Trump is icky and don’t want to vote for him?

No it will have no implications. Its BS. Trump will be easily and smoothly nominated at the convention.

You can expect the Fed judge to refuse to certify the class and to dismiss the case. Meanwhile, everyone should deregister as a republican.

.... Apparently instead of digging trenches to battle the enemy the Republicans love to use their shovels to dig their own graves. Definitely their strongest suit! Well .... that and rushing to a gun battle armed with only their trusty chess boards.

I don’t think election laws can be changed that were in effect during an election year...those precedents were tested and set during the Buch vs Gore debacle. The money Trump will raise between now and Cleveland will show the will of the regular voters!

Lawsuit could likely be thrown out.

The Republican Party is a private entity. Thus, it can set and establish any rules it wants.

For an individual or entity to bring an outside lawsuit would raise the question of what that person has any ‘standing’ [a legalese term] to bring such a lawsuit. Since the Party is a private organization, the bringer of the lawsuit would probably have no standing.

Look for this to be filed under ‘frivolous’.
