Marine Le Pen, the leader of the French far-right National Front party, said the British Brexit vote is a “victory for freedom” and called for all countries to have referendums on their European Union membership Friday.
“Victory for freedom! As I’ve asked for years, we need the same referendum in France and in the EU countries,” Le Pen tweeted.

May that come about. A Europe where England is England, France is France, Spain is Spain, etc.

I know a young English guy working here, he’s very liberal, but his take on what will happen is, in short:
Scotland will have a referandum and will leave the United Kingdom.
Scotland will immediately seek membership in the EU.
Northern Ireland will follow suite and leave the UK.
Northern Ireland will bend to the Souths demands and reunite to avoid a return to a guarded boarder.
Then the Scots might finally learn that socialism fails every time.
The only things is I hear this person dosn’t have kind words for the US.
I would have to research if it is because of obummer or another reason.

I would also argue that “far-left” is a redundant and unnecessary term, since every Leftist belief is based in malice and insanity.

I disagree. What will happen is that Ireland reunites with Northern Ireland, and then Ireland says goodbye to the EU (and Eurozone!) and forges better economic links with the UK, including re-admission into the Commonwealth of Nations.

I’ve been to Ireland three times, they don’t identify with Europeans. But, a whole lot of people there on the government dole and they’ll always vote for deeper pockets.
Some teach that there is a circular continuum, so that the far right is close to the far left. I remember this and my wife even has it in her 11th grade civics notes. But this is nonsense - continuums are linear. Does anything get so cold that it is hot? Have you ever heard of a guy who was so tall that he was a midget?
I think Marx and Engels captured the essence of leftist thinking. Their work represents an important milestone. Marx was an economist (a bad one) and he gave leftism a patina of “science.” To some degree, I see a continuum on the left depending on how much someone buys into Marxism.
Conservatives and libertarians have worked towards an intelligible theory devoid of Marxism. That is for intellectuals. I simply mean that as a descriptive statement without any attitude.
For many, “conservative” or "right-wing"simply means a rejection of one piece or another of current socialist indoctrination.
The press does not acknowledge the "left." If it has no name, it can not be attacked. But the press is happy to throw the "right-wing" label on anyone they don't like. It is a slander term.
Hitler, as we all have heard, was "right-wing." The fact that his party was the German National Socialist Workers' Party is never mentioned. Doesn't a "socialist workers' party" sound a little left-wing to you?
