German business has a lot of vested interest in British markets, explains Josef Janning, head of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) in Berlin.

And that means Germany will have its work cut out negotiating a settlement which gives Britain access to the single market after it leaves the European Union. […]

Being integrated into the single market will mean the UK will have to “swallow the fact that they will have to rubber stamp Brussels legislation” rather than gain the independence promised to them by the Leave campaign. …

Perhaps Germany should threaten to “wring Britain’s neck like a chicken”.

What is Germany going to do? Are they going to invade them?

Since when did free voluntary trade between two people or two countries require kowtowing to the European Parliament and its bureaucrats?

Germany needs to get a grip on it's own immigration policy and hemorrhaging culture before it tries to "make" Britain do anything.

While the Muslims stay home and breed.

Good satire? Or one of those gay liberal Svedish men who don’t understand why inviting mass murderers and rapists into your country is a bad thing?

didn’t the germans try to reign them in before... like in the 1940s and they failed.

what socialists don’t realize is that a deal that is good for both parties, works every time.

which country will be the next to leave? place your bets.

i am going to say POLAND.

Believe it or not, since 1957. The Treaty of Rome already had the phrase “ever closer union” in its preamble, and already forced a common agricultural policy on its member states.

Now that's going to be a little problem there...

No, not Poland. Thanks to the fading of US power, they are now caught between the two old empires on either side and have to pick one, and they are not choosing the bear at present.

They already tried that in the early 1940s.

Yes, I had forgotten about the Common Agricultural Policy.
Thank you for reminding me. Trade agreements should be about reducing barriers not increasing regulations and bureaucracies.

....."Germany needs to work instead on visible cooperation between member states to move things forward.”

Taking the initiative

The key issues for Germany are Eurozone policy and the refugee crisis, and Berlin needs to work on flexible solutions to these issues, says the ECFR expert.

“This could include creating a group of countries within the EU to agree on a common refugee policy, like what was done by a small group of countries with Schengen, when other countries weren’t yet ready for a border-less Europe.

What part of NO do they not understand?

This is the essential problem with the central planners in Brussels and Berlin.

Seimens is where German the rubber meets the road.....

“Siemens, the leading global engineering and technology services company, has been active in the United Kingdom for over 170 years.

We provide innovative solutions to help tackle the UK’s major challenges. Siemens has a significant presence throughout the UK, with 13 manufacturing sites and more than 25 major offices.
Today the company employs around 14,000 people in the UK, including about 5,000 in the manufacturing sector.”

The multinationals will work it out amongst themselves

The problem is what will be the UK standards? Will they keep the EU standards or revert to the old British Standards or just adopt American Standards

Isn't this exactly why they are leaving genius?

The arrogance and idiocy of the left always amazes!
