Another interesting post, thanks. And it actually makes me feel a little more positive towards the EU, seeing that they are funneling money into Poland. That country has suffered greatly.

Ireland was a big beneficiary as well; the EU spent a lot developing their infrastructure. I could understand them remaining in the EU, though the pressure to change their laws regarding abortion and taxes are a huge problem. The EU is ideal for smaller countries that can’t compete on their own, but the UK is a different story; they never changed their currency because they were always caught between two worlds: Europe and the Commonwealth/Anglosphere. Also, they realize that the EU has become what Hitler envisioned: A continent dominated by Germany.
