I don’t know how it broke down by age yesterday, but for people 40+ years old the pace of the demographic changes in the West has been incredible. My children have always had immigrant children in their classrooms, so this doesn’t seem strange to them, but growing up in this same area a few decades ago the change is shocking.

Every couple of years, I visit Cork in Ireland for instance, as part of my family is Irish descent and have relatives there. Always stop over in London for a few days to get over jet lag and have seen and sensed how London has changed over the decades, as has Ireland in fact. None of it though is due to EU; it is due to individual countries and respective governments, regardless of political party. Moving forward, who knows how it’ll develop.
