It doesn’t even matter. The vote is not binding. Parliament can ignore it.
Politicians who ignore the will of the people commit political suicide.
That said, Brexit will be a messy, prolonged process.
You have said that~twice now. I have heard that mentioned (perhaps by you on another thread? or perhaps elsewhere).
However, it is interesting to note that Ambassador John Bolton did not seem concerned about that. He is estatic—no cautiousness, etc.
Perhaps reason is that Parliament ignores will of people at their peril?
