Why does the headline say “Indiana teen”?

Why not “Moslem teen” or “Muslim” or “radicalized”???

Why use ‘teen’ at all?

Rhetorical question but it does remind me of one of my biggest pet peeves—the use of the word ‘teen’ to describe anyone under 20 charged with committing brutal crimes.
