The consequences of climate change on Boston are expected to be far more calamitous than previous studies have suggested, a new report commissioned by the city says.

In the worst-case scenario, sea levels could rise more than 10 feet by the end of the century — nearly twice what was previously predicted — plunging about 30 percent of Boston under water. Temperatures in 2070 could exceed 90 degrees for 90 days a year, compared with an average of 11 days now.

And changes in precipitation could mean a 50 percent decline in annual snowfall, punctuated by more frequent heavy storms such as nor’easters.

The report, by scientists from the University of Massachusetts and other local universities, has raised concerns in City Hall just two weeks after Mayor Martin J. Walsh attended a climate summit in Beijing.

“The updated climate projections confirm that we must work together to take bold approaches to prepare Boston for the impacts of climate change,” Walsh said in a statement.

Since UMass is located on a point that sticks out into the harbor, they will be the first to get inundated.

This COULD be a good thing.

‘... a new report commissioned by the city says.’

Translation: We want more tax $$$$ and are using junk science to justify it.

“In the worst-case scenario, sea levels could rise more than 10 feet by the end of the century...”

Umass needs to be prosecuted under RICO for fraudulently exaggerating the effects of climate change.

I’ll take a shot and predict 50 foot rise in sea levels by the end of the decade.

Do I get money for my contribution to science?

This is easy enough to test. Drive some pilings into bedrock at several locations in the seawater. Then measure the high and low tide marks on an ongoing basis. Average out the measurements you get and compare over time. If the average depth is going up over time then the sea level is rising where you are taking the measures. I’m sure there are a million other factors, but it’s basically that simple. Also, I have been going to the same beaches and harbors for 40 years and they sure look the same to me. Alarmist BS.

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh is a union goon who supports the “gay” takeover of the entire month of June (and half of May), and a “gay” St.Patrick’s Day parade. He used thug tactics to gain these “rights” for the “gays”.

Now he’s a “warmist”, too. Count on him to use thug tactics to enforce “warmist” policies!!!!

Of course, if he is indicted, this will all become moot. Just like Hillary!!!!

30% of Boston underwater could be considered a good start (my apology to any affected Freeper).

When political hacks “commission” a “report”, it better say what they want it to say. This is idiotic.

Wait a minute! I thought all the coastal areas were supposed to be under water already. What happened? I want all my money back that I invested on land that’s 20 feet above sea level.

One effect is obvious.

A city and state of freedom loving brave American patriots has been morphed into a liberal-socialist cesspit harboring an amorphous glob of whining liberal pussies.

I empathize with any true American Patriot who has to live in Boston or the socialist state of Massachusetts.

If UMass goes underwater, the Edward M Kennedy Institute for the US Senate would be next to go underwater.

Unlike UMass, the Kennedy Institute should have a couple of Delmont 88s to use as lifeboats.

After the Kennedy Institute goes underwater, the offices of the Boston Globe would be next to go underwater.

How is any of this a bad thing?

Maybe it isn’t the sea level rising.

Maybe it’s the land sinking under the weight of all the grifters, scammers, moochers, socialists, queers, union thugs, air-headed communist professors and government con men and womyn.

Boston was dumping snow into its harbor in 2014, so I would bet they would be glad to see their snowfall cut in half.
