“Up until about 10 years ago the local paper had at least one story a week on someone (99% Hispanic) charged with welfare fraud as you describe. Then they completely stopped running those stories.”
A similar and more serious newspaper coverage of arrested drunk drivers was published each month by local newspapers.
About a year ago in No. California those newspapers stopped posting the names when Hispanic Names ran over 50% each month. A friend used to send a note to the local editors asking how many of the arrested drunk drivers were illegal and how much did that cost us in lawyer fees?
The welfare fraud needs to be stopped. However, the legal costs of illegals arrested for drunk driving and crimes they commit are devastating local economies. The real hidden cost is the horrible impact of drunk drivers and felons on their victims.
Completely agree. I get livid just thinking about drunk drivers and the lack of repercussions for those here illegally.
That brings back a sad memory...my father (alcoholic) was picked up for DUI (@1960)...my mother told us about it because she feared someone at school would tell us...oh and we had to cancel our planned summer vacation trip due to $$...
