The first result is in: Gibraltar 96% remain - no surprise there.
Some further results should start to drop in over the next hour or so, however even with a relatively clear cut result it will take until 4 am British time before a certain projection can be made. Final votes counted some hours later.
First positive indication of the night: Newcastle upon Tyne declares. The.Remains have it but much closer than the pundits predicted 65000 votes to 63000 votes. Maybe all is not lost.
