Every couple of years, America elects a liberal and the country acts like a bipolar psychotic. The current president makes Jimmy Carter look like Thomas Jefferson. I don’t see it getting any better. The best thing that has happened is that the Democratic party has practiced identity politics with so many conflicting groups that it appears to be tearing itself apart. Gays, blacks, Hispanics have wildly divergent interests and the Democrats can’t effectively pander to them all at the same time. I think Bernie will split the party if Hillary doesn’t pick him for VP. (I live in one of the most liberal places in Florida. I have yet to see a Clinton sign or bumper sticker. But Bernie is everywhere.)
