Yet another member of the Race of Giants that we Lesser Children are descended from leaves us.
The coming storm will tell us if we have what they had.
My 14 year old son just read “Unbroken” and was riveted. He could not put the book down. The book thoroughly illustrates the savagery of japanese at the time, and has the perspective of the prisoners witnessing the attacks on Tokyo by the Doolittle raiders. So there is hope for the next generation. Try and teach as many young people as you can before you leave this earth, that’s my goal.
The following is a great article written about some of our modern-day soldiers. Whether we could find them in huge numbers like in WWII I don’t know. But they are out there. God bless all of our troops, especially the WWII vets that are dwindling day by day. I watched an older guy in his Korean War cap carefully stepping down the stairs the other day. I just took it in, and to think of his years gone by in another place and time, and all that he had seen. He was/is a Marine.
