I wonder why no mention of fluorescent lights. The light from those things is unpleasant, harsh, and depressing.
I have looked for fluorescent lights that have the same warm quality of light as incandescent bulbs, and have not found any.

You can get fluorescent tubes in any color temperature you want... but you’ll pay handsomely for them.

Fluorescents hurt my eyes; nothing helps... I’ve tried visors, tinted glasses, etc.

You want really warm light, buy a reproduction Edison carbon filiment incandescent light. A very soft yellow glow, and they last forever, as in decades. Not energy efficient, however. Described as half the light for twice the power.
