Try some amber flip-ups or regular shades....they can really cut down the glare.
Home Depot....cheap. Perform just like regular bulbs.
My local Home Depot carries LED bulbs by Phillips, Cree, EcoSmart, and Feit. Is there a particular brand that you favor?
And what's really bad is when some will retrofit their car halogen bulbs with a led upgrade bulb. The housing for the halogen bulb was not designed for a led and the reflective design of the housing will reflect the led in a manner that does indeed temporarily blind oncoming traffic.
Cree. They were about $1.50 apiece, normal light bulb shape. A plastic ring just above the base.
I still have a couple of the liberal MERCURY bulbs left, just waiting for them to burn out, so I can safely dispose of them by sending them to my nearest local RAT legislator.
Check out the expected life span of the Cree bulbs. I also got some for my cars and motorcycle from ebay for about a buck apiece. (they take about 10 days to come from Hong Kong...free shipping)
I get mine at either Lowes or Home Depot which ever is having a sale. As long as you buy Soft White LED of the same lumens {for example a same as 60 watt is 800 lumens incandescent} of they should be consistent in light output. You can get them in outside floodlights as well. If you have close neighbors use Soft White there as well.
