Americans trust Donald Trump to keep America safe more than former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, despite repeated assertions from Democrats that she is one of the most qualified candidates for president in history. A new poll from Morning Consult shows that 41 percent of Americans believed that Trump would do a better job of keeping the country safe while only 37 percent favored Hillary Clinton. (Twenty-two percent said they didn’t know or had no opinion).
Trump’s boost comes from Independent voters, as 38 percent say they trust Trump while only 26 percent favored Clinton.

Isn’t it odd for Democrats to talk about “qualifications” for being president?? After all, the current incumbent may well have been the least experienced, least qualified man ever elected.
Yes, I know that Eisenhower had never served in any elective office before he was elected president. However, I think that someone who could plan and execute the Normandy invasion, and bring World War II in Europe to a successful conclusion, had some extensive executive and managerial experience to bring to the White House.
Obama had ZERO management or executive experience of any kind in his life, before his election as president.
And what exactly are Hillary’s qualifications???
She was first lady? Does that give one the requisite skills and knowledge and experience to be president??
She was a senator? Did she do anything as senator to develop the skills needed? What were her achievements as a senator?
She was Secretary of State? What did she achieve in that office? We know she visited 100 countries. Big deal. Is the world better off, is the world safer because Hillary was Sec. of State? How did her roles in the Arab Spring, toppling Qaddafi in Libya, etc. work out? Were those initiatives so successful that we can say, wow, she’s the one we want answering that 3 a.m. phone call????? Really???

The “most qualified” meme is pure political theater. Qualifications for the Presidency are in the eye of the beholder and very subjective. They say she is “most qualified,” I look at her record and see wreckage and debris from one miscalculation after another.
If I told you a hypothetical candidate was a service academy graduate, an engineer instead of lawyer, a popular governor respected across party lines, and personable, likable candidate, you would think he/she was qualified.
Until I told you that person was Jimmy Carter, the single worst President in the last half of the 20th Century. On paper, Carter was incredibly qualified, and by personality and temperament, he was a failure, who attempted and failed to mircomanage the Federal government. By the end of his term, political scientists were arguing that the job of President was “impossible” for one person.
This assertion that abruptly ended when Reagan, a “senile,” “washed up B-movie actor” came in and actually did the job. Reagan had the personality and temperament to both lead and manage an administration. While Iran-Contra illustrated some issues with his second term team, Overall his administration was very successful.
If American’s favor the ban on “Muslimes”, explain why the polls show Hitlary so much ahead. But the, polls are just opinions.
