The Libertarian Party’s presidential and vice presidential nominees will get their best shot to convince voters they should be considered seriously for the White House at an hourlong prime-time town hall Wednesday on CNN. But political observers say that to move the needle much, Gary Johnson and his running mate, William Weld, are going to have to show a more conventional side that the public doesn’t always associate with libertarians.

That does indeed look like an average, everyday, run of the mill libertarian activist.

CNN’s purpose is to erode support for Trump which would help their gal, Mrs. Bill Clinton.

Gary Johnson supports open borders. He’s pulling more Democrats than Republicans.

Which is backfiring. Looks like it is more Dems being attracted to him.

That's it. If Trump wasn't running the dishonest media wouldn't even mention a libertarian, not that Johnson & Weld are libertarians.

Johnson is a self serving creep. I heard him speak at RonPaulFest in Tampa in 2012 (I had a press pass, long story) He is a loser. When he tried to steal Ron Paul voters at the huge Sun Dome rally, his people were ridiculed, and laughed at. The only reason the media gives him any coverage it to try to steal votes from Trump and he knows it.

The only sort of good candidate the LP has had in recent memory was Michael Badnarik in 2008.

Badnarik was a Constitutionalist and non open borders, but a knucklehead in others areas.

I just hope that the Libertarians have a candidate running for the U.S. Senate in Illinois, so I can vote for him/her.

My other choices are Mark Kirk or a democrat and I will vote for neither.
