Disagreement noted. I don't believe the FBI has integrity when it is dealing with a person in Hillary's position. Flexible/situational ethics. She gets a pass.

Do you realize what you are saying? If corruption has reached this level, the Republic is finished. This is the stuff of revolution. There can and should not be any acceptance of this corruption. There should be outrage and people in the streets if the FBI and the DOJ can no longer be trusted with the Rule of Law.

Mission statement of FBI: The mission of the FBI is to protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, to uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the United States, and to provide leadership and criminal justice services to federal, state, municipal, and international agencies and partners; and to perform these responsibilities in a manner that is responsive to the needs of the public and is faithful to the Constitution of the United States.

Mission statement of DOJ: To enforce the law and defend the interests of the United States according to the law; to ensure public safety against threats foreign and domestic; to provide federal leadership in preventing and controlling crime; to seek just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior; and to ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans.

The FBI has no obligation to make its investigations or conclusions public, unless the conclusion is that a crime has been committed. In fact, the default condition for "investigate, no crime" cases is to stay mum.

Sorry, but if the Congress does not make an issue out of the failure of the FBI to disclose their reasoning on why they are giving a Presidential candidate a pass on what amounts to a clear violation of the law, then we are totally lost as a nation. Hopefully, there are still persons of integrity within the FBI who will reveal the evidence found and conclusions. The public pressure should be enormous in much the same way that DOJ and the FBI were forced to release the redacted portions of the Mateen transcripts.

We used to have patriots in government. As someone who worked 36 years in the Federal Government, it is indeed depressing to see how politicized the career bureaucracy has become. It does not augur well for our nation.

Yes, I realize what I'm saying. I do not believe that this country is a rule of laws, or more precisely, that there is a rule of law for the privileged, and a different rule of law for the rest of us.

The constitution is a dead letter. I'm not about to revolt over it, but I view the federal government as illegitimate. It has no moral authority. I submit to it because it is powerful. I would submit to the Mafia too.
