And population-wise, the average family is smaller, so there are only one or two kids per family TO live at home.

I think its a good thing....older people need the help around the house and the younger people need a little more time to get their education and finances and worklife going....its a win/win situation.....

and,its WHAT USED TO BE NORMAL and is still the norm in most of the world...

why do the Asian immigrants particularly do so well in America?...because they have grandma and pa and mom and dad and adult children and little children living together to save money...
