Amen! The worst thing that happened to US education was government. Government schools are dinosaurs, still doing things based on a 100-year-old model. In the internet age, there is no reason why education can’t be tailored to the individual student’s needs and abilities. Government schools are not really schools but warehouses that provide subsidized daycare and a way to keep kids out of the labor market until they are 18 or older.
